Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Dr. Kassahun Abberu, Wegenawi Gubignt was born from a simple belief: no one should go to bed hungry.
We've grown from supporting 7 families to over 87 households, creating direct connections between compassionate donors and families in need.
We facilitate direct financial support from donors to vulnerable families, ensuring 100% of donations reach those in need with complete transparency.
Our approach is build trust, and creates meaningful connections between donors and beneficiaries.

The purpose of the Charity Organization is to help no one go hungry due to poverty. The beneficiaries of our organization are the elderly, the disabled, female-headed households and the needy families living in poverty in four sub-cities in Addis Ababa, namely Lemi Kura, Kirkos, Nefas Silk and Addis Ketema.

Wegenawi Gubignt is a local organization whose goal is to ensure that no one goes to sleep being hungry due to poverty. The beneficiaries of our organization are the elderly, the disabled, female heads of households, and the needy residents of our city who live in poverty. Today, the coordinator of SOS Ethiopia, who supported our organization, visited our office and confirmed that they were happy with the donation and that they will continue to work with our organization.
